In order to make intangible cultural heritage more visible, to raise awareness of its importance and to support dialogue in respect of cultural diversity, a representative list of humanity's intangible cultural heritage is prepared, updated and published, at the request of States Parties.

Türkiye, UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Register has registered on the UNESCO List of 18 elements with most elements are among the top 5 countries. The 6 elements included in the UNESCO list are also included in the İstanbul Inventory. These elements are listed below.
