Fountains

Sultanhamet Fountain (Fountain of Ahmet III):Situated in front of the Bab-ı Hümayun gate of Topkapı Palace.The stone and bronze works scripture on the four fronts as well as the ornaments of the wooden cornices are works of art. The fountain differs from the modest lines of the classical period and is distinguished with its elegance, richness and beauty of its lines.

Fountain of Ahmet III (Üsküdar):Situatedin Üsküdar pier square. Built in 1728. It’s a plaza fountain with a wooden roof and four fronts and is a work of art of architecture, calligraphy, stone workmanship and poetry.

German Fountain:Situated in the Sultanahmet Square. Constructed with all of its sections in Germany to commemorate the second visit of German Emperor Wilhelm II to İstanbul,brought to İstanbul andplaced on thepreparedarches. Inaugurated on January 1 1901, first day of the 20th century, the three domes of the fountain are coated with gold mosaics.     

Tophane Fountain: Situated in the Tophane Square. Commissioned to Chief Court Architect Mehmet Ağa by Mahmut I in 1732.

Beykoz Ishak Ağa Fountain: Situated in Beykoz district of Istanbul. One of the most beautiful fountain monuments in whole Türkiye.

Ayazma Fountain:SituatedinÜsküdar, inside the court of Ayazma Mosque. The fountain was commissioned by Mustafa III in 18th century and carries the architectural features of the era.

Azapkapı Saliha Sultan Fountain: Built in 1732 by Sultan Mahmut I in memory of his mother Saliha Sultan.

Göksu Fountain: Built by Mihrişah Sultan, wife of Sultan Mustafa III andmother of Selim III.

Esma Sultan Fountain:Built by Esma Sultan, daughter of Ahmet III, in 1799. An example of plaza fountains.
